Inuyasha to get a possible sequel after 10 years
A sequel to the hit anime Inuyasha is reportedly in works, 10 years after the original series ended.
Twitter user RanobeSugoi shared character designs resembling Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango, the original characters of the first series.
The sequel is reported to be titled Hanyo no Yashahime, though further details has not yet been disclosed.
Netizens speculated that the sequel will feature the descendants of the original characters and the effects of the battles between Inuyasha and his brother Sesshomaru.
It is still not sure whether the sequel will be a television series, feature length film, or manga. Inuyasha manga artist Rumiko Takahashi has not yet confirmed the rumors.
Based upon the similar titled manga series by Natsuki Takaya, Inuyasha first aired in 2000 under Sunrise Inc and would continue until its final episode in 2010. Due to its popularity, the series also made four movies.
