BLACKPINK’s Lisa receiving death threats amidst the group’s comeback
BLACKPINK’s rapper Lisa received multiple death threats on Instagram and Twitter, and fans (BLINKS) are calling out YG Entertainment.
The contents of each post portray intense hatred for the young rapper, who has been receiving similar posts since the height of their career. Last year, seemingly racist comments were also addressed to Lisa, saying her appearance is “an average Thai woman” hiding under Korean make-up.
The Blinks are quick to respond by giving Lisa endless support and appreciation, also pointing out YG Entertainment’s silence and lack of response to protect their member.
While worrying for their idol, the fans are also celebrating BLACKPINK’s comeback album reported being to happen in June, according to Starnews’ exclusive coverage. The popstar group has already completed recording the new songs, and schedules for the music video shoot is already being adjusted. BLACKPINK gained international recognition with their album BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA, where the song DDU-DDU DDU-DDU gained 1.1B views on Youtube, along with Kill this Love with 800M views.
The K-Pop superstars are also confirmed to be collaborating with Lady Gaga in her sixth album “Chromatica”, with the song titled as “Sour Candy”.
